Liberia, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country located in West Africa, and was colonized by African Americans from the United States. The population is 3.5 million people, with almost one million living in greater Monrovia, the capital city. There are 31 indigenous languages spoken in Liberia, however for a minority of the population indigenous languages are a second language after English.
